God's Powerful Word

We are not to think of the Word as existing apart from God or as possessing power apart from God.
The Word is powerful only and precisely because it is "God's" Word, the Word which God has spoken and therefore continues to speak. And God's Word, when God speaks it, has God's authority and power.
